1.8.5 Developing an Investigation Method
We will be investigating the use of catalysts and the rate of a reaction. We will be looking at the decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) to Water (H2O) and Oxygen gas (O2) with the aid of a catalyst.
After we investigate various methods of collecting and measuring gas production, you will develop a method to test the rate of a reaction while changing either: The catalyst used, or The concentration of a single catalyst You will first write up your method, then carry out your tests, analyze your data, interpret and discuss your results, and write a conclusion. |
